In Nov 2015, after years of asking, Koryo Tours finally got the first-ever tourists on a pleasure flight over Pyongyang in a Soviet Mi-17 Helicopter. That landmark group's sightseeing trip through the skies lasted around 40 minutes or so, and is now a regular feature on our group tours — as long as the minimum number of eight participants is reached. The helicopter follows a circuit over the capital, and along the Taedong River, taking in such sights as the May Day stadium, the new science centre, and, of course, the Ryugyang Hotel. We first asked for this as an option for our tourists a good decade ago, so if you're keen on a bird's-eye view of Pyongyang then sign up now while our heli-tours are still going. Get to the chopper!
