Introduction

Rason Soft Drinks Factory is a small factory producing both soft drinks, some alcoholic drinks, and some snacks.

One of the only such factories it is possible for tourists to North Korea to visit.

Drinks, snacks, can also be bought in the small factory shop here.

Location

On the outskirts of Rajin city, in the Rason Free Trade Area, in the far northeast of North Korea.

Visiting

The Rason Soft Drinks Factory has been open for visiting only since early 2018 and is a worthy addition to any trip to Rason (where you can also visit such workplaces as a large seafood factory, shoe factory, bag factory, and more).

A visit to the Rason Soft Drinks Factory starts at the entrance hall, an outline of when the factory was opened, what they make, what they aim to produce in the future, and so on is presented by a member of staff.

Some of the production lines can be visited and here what they are producing at any given time depends on what raw materials are being delivered. The beer and soju production lines are perhaps the most interesting, and samples can be tried and purchased for take-away.
