The Pyongyang Golf Driving Range is, at the time of writing, North Korea’s only dedicated golf driving range.
It is located next to the Sosan Hotel on Sports Street, in the far west of Pyongyang.
The Pyongyang Golf Driving Range is a great place to visit if you are a keen golfer, are looking for an sports activity to do or just have time to spare in Pyongyang.
It consists of the main building in front with the driving range out the back of the building.
Balls are given to you in a basket and each driving position has an old school ball dispensing machine that is manually operated by your foot. You will need to place the ball in the appropriate position yourself on the tee, there are no high tech machines to do it for you like in modern golf driving ranges.
Apart from tourists, you will generally find the upper classes of Pyongyang here enjoying their free time or practising their golf swing.
100 balls cost $10 USD and there is a small golf club rental fee of around $2 USD if you haven’t brought your own.
