Every once and again, one comes across something on the internet that is truly amazing. This is one of those things. If you understand Chinese and have an interest in North Korea, then this is a must see. Even if you don’t understand Chinese, it is worth marveling at this amazing mash-up of cultures.

What follows is a Chinese rap summary of the 1985 North Korean film Pulgasari (불가사리) about a metal-eating monster that helps the peasants struggle against the ills and injustices of 14th century Korean feudal society.
