North Korean football
world record - still
standing since 1966!

Nigeria keeper Francis Uzoho has become the second youngest goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in World Cup history. The Super Eagles beat Iceland on Friday - but which wizard of the goal-mouth still holds the record for the youngest World Cup shut-out?

Deportivo La Coruna Team B player Uzoho made history at only 19 years old as he kept out all of Iceland's efforts in this crucial match. his heroics made him the second youngest goalie to keep a clean cheet in the World Cup - the youngest; DPRK's Ri Chan Myong

This is Ri Chan Myong in 2002 when we took him and the North Korean football heroes of 1966 back to Middlesbrough; their home base back in 1966. Over 30,000 fans gave him a standing ovation and together with striker Pak Do Ik they re-enacted the goal against Italy, which became known as ‘the greatest shock in World Cup history’ and in Italy as ‘a disaster’ which led to the immediate sacking of the Italian manager and the pelting of their team with rotten vegetables when they returned home in disgrace
