In 2003, 'The Game of Their Lives' won the Royal Television Society award for best sports documentary, received a nomination for Best Historical Documentary at the Grierson Awards, a nomination for Best Documentary at the British Independent Film Awards, won first prize at the Seville Film Festival and the 2004 Refracting Reality Documentary Film Award at the Seattle International Film Festival.

'A State of Mind' is an observational documentary film following two North Korean schoolgirls and their families in the lead up to the Mass Games - the biggest and most elaborate human performance on earth. The film was broadcast on BBC4 and ARTE in June 2004.

In the 1960’s, four US soldiers serving in the Korean Demilitarised Zone embarked on an extraordinary journey. At the height of the Cold War, this unlikely band of brothers crossed the most heavily fortified area on earth and defected to DPRK. No-one knew why they did it.

For nearly 40 years their life was hidden from the outside world.

Not even the US government knew their fate.
Only one remains in DPRK.
